Queen Elizabeth II Urges Prince William to Stop Flying with Family by Helicopter
Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom has urged Prince William to cease flying with his family by helicopter, according to the Daily Mail.
The elderly monarch has requested her grandson to abandon this mode of air transport for safety reasons. The Queen fears that the heir apparent's family could be at risk of dying in a helicopter accident.
The 95-year-old monarch has had “several conversations” with 39-year-old William, urging him to “stop piloting the helicopter personally, especially in bad weather.” A source close to the Queen told the Sun, “Her Majesty has conveyed to close friends and courtiers that she would like William to stop personally flying the helicopter, especially in bad weather, as helicopters are not the safest form of transport. For this reason, the Queen stays awake at night, and it’s understandable that she is very worried.”
