12 New Cases of Coronavirus Infection Confirmed in Artsakh

On December 18, a total of 260 tests were conducted in Artsakh, resulting in 12 new cases of coronavirus disease. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Artsakh.

Currently, 81 infected individuals are receiving inpatient treatment. Doctors assess the condition of 18 patients as extremely severe, while 46 are classified as severe, including young individuals. Those with mild cases are being treated on an outpatient basis.

Throughout 2021, a total of 30,287 citizens were tested for laboratory detection of coronavirus, of which 4,663 tested positive.

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh once again urges adherence to guidelines to avoid new outbreaks and to overcome the coronavirus infection as soon as possible. It is important for the population of the republic to get vaccinated against COVID-19 at the earliest to safeguard their health and that of their loved ones.

Vaccinations against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) are being carried out at the outpatient-polyclinic department of the Republican Medical Center until 19:00, at the Aravik Medical Unit, and at the State Health Institute for Epidemiology and Hygiene, as well as in the regional medical units of Askeran, Martuni, and Martakert.
