Russian Peacekeepers Ensure Safe Passage for Over 400 Vehicles Daily to Artsakh

Russian peacekeeping troops ensure the safe passage of more than 400 vehicles daily through the Lachin corridor and checkpoints, as reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“We monitor the observance of the ceasefire regime at the checkpoints of the Russian peacekeeping contingent and enforce checkpoint regulations. Each vehicle is subject to inspection, and if necessary, we ask the driver to exit the vehicle for a thorough check of the cabin,” said Ivan Padalkan, a representative of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

The Russian peacekeeping forces have established 27 checkpoints along the entire line of contact in Artsakh and the Lachin corridor. They provide round-the-clock monitoring of the situation and ensure the enforcement of the ceasefire regime while facilitating the safe entry and exit of vehicles and people through the Lachin corridor.
