Ruling Faction Has Stopped Representing the Interests of Yerevan Residents: Grigor Yeritsyan

In February of this year, the faction attempted to sabotage the process initiated by the mayor for the purchase of 211 new buses by failing to secure a quorum during the council meeting. This was reported by former member of the Yerevan City Council, Grigor Yeritsyan, on his Facebook page.

For some time now, the ruling faction of the Yerevan City Council has ceased to represent the interests of Yerevan residents and is guided by narrow party interests.

In February of this year, the faction tried to derail the mayor's initiative for buying 211 new buses by sabotaging the council meeting through a failure to secure a quorum. However, thanks to the significant efforts of the mayor and several council members, the meeting took place and the decision was made.

As the buses began to arrive in Yerevan, those involved in the sabotage eagerly tried to attribute the purchase to the ruling faction itself. This shortsighted and failed attempt at sabotage deepened the crisis between the mayor and the ruling faction.
