Omicron Variant Reaches Ukraine

The first case of infection with the Omicron variant has been detected in Ukraine. This was announced by Ukraine's Health Minister Viktor Lyashko.

“As a result of laboratory studies conducted overnight at the Public Health Center of Ukraine, the first case of infection with the Omicron variant has been identified. The individual who tested positive returned from the United Arab Emirates, where they had contact with a COVID-19 patient. The patient is currently undergoing treatment,” the Health Minister wrote on his Facebook page.
