No Rector Selected at Armenian State Pedagogical University

Today, an election took place for the rector of the Armenian State Pedagogical University. In an interview with MediaHub.am, the university's spokesperson Diana Markosyan reported that the only candidate was the acting rector Ashot Khoetsyan, who was not elected through a secret ballot.

She noted that Khoetsyan received 4 votes in favor, 13 against, and 1 abstention.

The council president Zhanna Andreasian, who is also the Deputy Minister of Education, suggested the candidacy of pro-rector Sirbuhi Gevorgyan, who was elected as the temporary acting rector with 16 votes in favor.
