Azerbaijan Will Always Be Indirectly Involved in Armenian-Turkish Normalization Process, Cavusoglu

According to ermenihaber.am, Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has revealed some details regarding the normalization process of Armenian-Turkish relations. Cavusoglu specifically stated: "After appointing special representatives mutually with Armenia, they will establish direct contact and agree on where and how they will meet. It would not be correct to say in advance what the representatives will discuss, but priorities can be clarified. Following that, work will be done on the roadmap."

The Turkish minister mentioned that Azerbaijan will always be indirectly involved in the process. "Azerbaijan will always be informed about the process. Steps will be coordinated. In other words, it will not be a surprise for Azerbaijan. Russia and the USA are also supporting this process. We will make a decision regarding the opening of borders together with Azerbaijan. For example, a proposal will be made to Armenia to sign a comprehensive peace treaty with Azerbaijan. We can also be included in that. I am just saying as an example; the opening of borders can also be included when signing such a treaty," Cavusoglu emphasized.

He also touched upon the participation and support of the Armenian community in Turkey in the normalization process. "The Armenian community, which is a citizen of Turkey living in Turkey, will definitely contribute. Their recent statements supporting this process have already been a contribution. Depending on the situation and the field of activity, their participation will also be beneficial. There are airlines that have applied to carry out mutual charter flights. It can be considered to start with one airline from each side at this stage and then increase the number according to developments," Cavusoglu concluded.
