Edward Babayan's Assets: 35 Properties, Over 100 Million Drams, 400 Thousand Dollars

Today, former MP Edward Babayan, previously the head of Gagik Tsarukyan's security service, was elected as the mayor of Abovyan. MediaHub.am presents an overview of Babayan's assets.

In the declaration submitted after the termination of his MP powers in 2021, Babayan listed 17 apartments, 12 garages, a public building, and other structures attached to the land as real estate. As for cash, he declared amounts of 119,750,000 drams, 402,300 dollars, and 102,250 euros.

During the reporting period, Babayan received 3,421,820 drams as salary for his work, while he earned an additional 11,925,000 drams from property rentals. He also obtained 25,500,000 drams from the sale of assets and 810,000 drams as a pension.

Babayan's wife, Naira Sargsyan, declared a private house, a plot of land, and two public buildings. In 2020, Sargsyan purchased a Range Rover, and in 2021, a Mercedes-Benz. She declared a total income of 14,041,000 drams, of which 1,000,000 drams were derived from entrepreneurial activities, and 13,041,000 drams from property rentals.

Edward Babayan's daughter, Lyudmila, works at Legalex LLC and has received a salary of 405,000 drams. Overall, the Babayan family declared a total of 35 properties.
