Ukraine and Turkey to Jointly Produce Drones
Ukraine and Turkey are constructing a joint factory near Kyiv, where Turkish "ANKA" type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will be produced. According to the Turkish service of "Sputnik," this was announced by Alexey Arestovich, one of the speakers of the trilateral group for the settlement of the situation in Donbas.
"A factory is currently being built in the town of Vasilkiv, where drones will be produced in cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey. One of these will be the 'ANKA' heavy UAV," Arestovich stated, as reported by Ermenihaber.
The spokesperson noted that the engines of the UAVs will be Ukrainian, while the fuselage and other components will be Turkish. It is expected that the first batch of UAVs will be produced by the end of 2022.
According to Arestovich, in the future, the factory will also produce unmanned aerial vehicles developed by Ukraine.
