Treasure Hunters Devastate the Saint Stephen's Church in Van
Treasure hunters have devastated the historic Armenian Saint Stephen's Church located at the foot of Mount Aghsurik in the Muradiye district of Van, Turkish "Haberler" reports.
The Saint Stephen's Church, which has been an incredibly important sanctuary for Armenians, was constructed in the 17th century and operated until the Armenian Genocide in 1915.
