Investigation Launched Against Yerevan Municipality and 30 Construction Companies Involved in Asphalt Paving
The Competition Protection Commission of Armenia has launched an investigation against the Yerevan Municipality and several economic operators.
According to the Commission, it has been determined that during the procurement procedures organized for the repair of asphalt concrete surfaces in Yerevan from 2017 to 2021, the municipality and some economic operators exhibited anti-competitive behavior.
The Commission noted that their conduct involved elements of anti-competitive agreements, along with actions from public bodies and officials that undermined competition.
As a result of the conducted study, the Competition Protection Commission has decided today, December 14, to initiate proceedings against the Yerevan Municipality and 30 construction companies that participated in the paving works in Yerevan.
