Will Unvaccinated Citizens Pay for Treatment from Their Own Pockets? Details from the Ministry of Health

According to Aysor.am, starting from February 2022, unvaccinated citizens may have to pay for COVID-19 treatment in case of hospitalization. The Ministry of Health is already calculating how much COVID treatment will cost for unvaccinated citizens in the event of hospitalization.

In an interview with Auroranews, the Ministry's spokesperson Hripsime Khachatryan stated that this issue has been discussed for quite some time. She also noted that vaccination rates in the country have declined, and there are no other options left to combat the new variants that have emerged.

The spokesperson added that she cannot specify a concrete timeline regarding the decision-making process at this moment.
