Video: Azerbaijani Atrocities in Italian Journalist's Film

Italian Rai 1 television's highly professional journalist Stefania Battistini has prepared an extensive film that was aired by the network, focusing on last year's war in Artsakh, its causes, and consequences. This was reported on the Facebook page of Armenia's Human Rights Defender, Arman Tatoyan.

“Azerbaijani servicemen committed atrocities, such as beheading Armenians and mutilating the bodies of the slain while showing their faces openly, confident that they would not be punished. They subsequently shared videos and photos of these acts on social media, spreading scenes of violence in an antagonistic environment, and received encouragement for these actions. During the war, jihadists and terrorists were used against Artsakh and Armenia, and chemical element weapons (presumably containing white phosphorus) were employed,” he noted.

“These war crimes and brutalities will lead to new and more serious crimes if the organizers and perpetrators remain unpunished. In the film, I also addressed human rights violations during the war, presenting evidence of war crimes. I highlighted the disproportionate response of international organizations, and emphasized that all this has led to ethnic cleansing in Artsakh, a consequence of genocidal policies.” The translation of a segment from the hour-long video is presented here,” he wrote.
