Video: Armenia's Chief Prosecutor Accompanies Spitak Hayko with a Drum; Abrahamyan Comments on When the Gathering Took Place

A video has surfaced online showing Armenia's Chief Prosecutor Arthur Davtyan accompanying the famous rabiz singer Spitak Hayko with a drum.

The Chief Prosecutor's advisor, Gor Abrahamyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "Certain media outlets are actively spreading a publication claiming that a gathering involving the Chief Prosecutor of Armenia took place on August 16 of this year. This is fake, slanderous, and has no connection to reality. The gathering attended by the Chief Prosecutor, part of which was captured in the video that appeared online, took place not on August 16—when there were military operations and casualties along the Armenian borders—but in early October, when there were no military operations or casualties along the borders. The fact that the gathering did not occur during the hot summer weather is also evidenced by the clothing worn by the individuals visible in the video.

It is not accidental that no publication regarding the gathering occurring in August cites any information source. There is a simple explanation for this: because we are dealing with a dirty, unethical manipulation surrounding the Chief Prosecutor's name. The wager was made on the fact that readers would focus not on the dates but on the name of the Chief Prosecutor, particularly seeing the reported gathering in combination with the phrases 'war at the borders' and 'casualties.'

The fact that the aforementioned fake information is disseminated by media outlets controlled by a specific center makes it clear why this is all happening. Those using the military operations and tragic casualties at the country's borders as a means to satisfy their political dirty passions—who have done nothing in relation to the issues of patriotism, the homeland's situation, and the soldier's condition—are, unlike the Chief Prosecutor, whose actions regarding the 44-day war and thereafter are seldom highlighted, complexly involved and incapable of knowing the reality about their actions. This will not succeed; it is quite primitive."
