‘The car is mine, I have no ties to the Sukiasyans’: Citizen on gunshots heard in Arabkir
On December 11, gunshots were heard in Yerevan. Around 14:30, a report was received by the Arabkir division of the police that gunshots had been fired near a high-rise building on Arabkir Street 39.
Hraparak.am reported that, according to preliminary information, the vehicle damaged by the gunfire belonged to the Sukiasyan family, with the license plate numbers matching those registered to them.
After the publication, a citizen by the name of Arayik Ambatyan contacted the media outlet, stating that the car actually belongs to him, is registered in his name, and that he has no connection to the Sukiasyans. 'The car was in the Arabkir community, in front of a car wash. We had given the car to an employee to wash. The keys were also with the car wash worker. The vehicle was merely parked on the street when the shooting occurred. I don’t need to invoke someone else’s name regarding the car,' he said.
The citizen mentioned that he is from Gyumri and is unaware of who the shooter might be.
Additionally, Auroranews.am contacted Anna Mkrtchyan, the spokesperson for MP and businessman Khachatur Sukiasyan, to verify whether the information that the series of license plates 01 - 015 or 015 - 01 belongs to the Sukiasyans was correct. The spokesperson categorically denied this and labeled the information as misinformation.
