Opel Hits Uzbek Citizen in Kotayk Region

Today, on December 11, a traffic accident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 05:00, a resident of Gegharkunik region, 21-year-old Gevorg H., hit a pedestrian with his Opel vehicle on the 17 km stretch of the Yerevan-Sevan highway. The pedestrian, 29-year-old Dilrabo S., is a citizen of Uzbekistan.

According to Shamshyan.com, the driver did not flee the scene and called for an ambulance. The doctors from the 'Abovyan' medical center, who arrived promptly, provided first aid at the scene before transporting the injured pedestrian to the medical center.

Materials are being prepared regarding the incident. By order of the investigator, the vehicle has been moved to a designated area under the jurisdiction of the Abovyan police station. The driver underwent a sobriety test and was found sober. A photojournalist reports that after hitting the pedestrian, the Opel crashed into trees in the dividing zone and overturned.
