Entering Through the Front Door, Exiting Through the Back: The First Batch of New Buses to Operate Tomorrow

As part of transport reforms, the new public transport vehicles will commence operations in the capital on December 12. The Yerevan City Hall emphasizes that passengers must enter the new buses only through the front door, pay for their ride at the beginning using coin acceptors, and exit the bus through the back door at the end of their journey.

“Until we transition to a unified electronic ticketing system, the payment device will only accept 100 dram coins. We kindly ask passengers to have 100 dram coins when using the bus. Have a good trip,” stated the city hall.

Starting from December 12, the following routes will be serviced by the new medium-class buses in Yerevan:

• Route 3
• Route 20
• Route 97
• Route 99

The new routes will be operated with 18, 13, 16, and 16 units of vehicles, respectively, along the following lines:

Route 3

HAAT - NOR NORQ 9th ZANGVAT
HAAT (start point) - A. Babajanyan - Raffi - Sebastatsi - Leningradian - Kyiv - Kasyan Str. - Komitas Ave. - D. Anahit - Rubinyants Str. - Gay Str. - Muradyan - Davit Bek - Avetisyan - Vilnius Str. - Nor Norq 9th ZANGVAT (end point).

Route 20

NOR NORQ 7th ZANGVAT - AVAN - YEREVAN CITY HALL

Additionally, due to construction work on separate road sections and technical issues, the bus route 97 will temporarily operate to the Nor Norq 1st suburban area via Nansen Street instead of Lviv Street, and bus route 99 will operate to the end of Ulnetsi Street, bypassing Hasratyan, Kanakerci, and Fanarjyan Streets.
