Hundreds of Citizens March Through Central Tbilisi Streets Against the 'Green Passport' System
Hundreds of citizens are marching through the central streets of Tbilisi, protesting against the implementation of the 'Green Passport' system. This system gained legal force in Georgia on December 1.
Only individuals with a 'green status' will be allowed to visit the following establishments:
- Hotels and other accommodation venues
- Food outlets (restaurants, cafes, and bars in both open and closed areas, including shopping malls)
- Cinemas, theaters, concert halls, entertainment centers, casinos
- SPA and fitness centers
- Mountain resort cable cars
The requirement for 'green status' does not apply to individuals under the age of 18.
A 'green status' is granted if the individual meets any of the following conditions:
- Fully vaccinated
- Has a negative PCR test result (in this case, 'green status' is granted for 72 hours)
- Has a negative antigen rapid test result (in this case, 'green status' is granted for 24 hours)
- Recovered from COVID-19 within the last 6 months.
