Why Are Prisoners Returned from Baku Transferred to Armenian Prisons? Aghajanyan Clarifies
There is existing legislation in Armenia that implies procedures, and I assume that according to these procedures, our fellow citizens who are subject to involvement in certain criminal cases should be engaged within appropriate time frames regarding those cases. This was stated by Eduard Aghajanyan, the chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Relations Committee, during a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly, addressing the concern about how justified it is for prisoners returning from Baku to be transferred to Armenian prisons.
“This is a matter of legislative regulations, and there are specific subjects and courts that should address this issue, taking into account additional comments, psychological, and other similar circumstances. Under no circumstances can this happen contrary to the legislation of the Republic of Armenia,” he stated.
