Aram Harutyunyan, Leader of the 'Unified Vardenis' Alliance, Detained: Will Vardenis Residents Hold Protests?

The General Jurisdiction Court of Gavar has just granted the request of the Investigative Committee’s investigator and detained Aram Harutyunyan, the leader of the 'Unified Vardenis' alliance.

In an interview with NEWS.am, Harutyunyan's lawyer Bakur Ohanyan stated that the investigator’s request was illegal. The lawyer indicated that they would file an appeal against the court's decision on Monday.

In a conversation with us, David Shahnazaryan, a member of the 'Unified Vardenis' alliance, mentioned that there will be no protests against the decision to detain their teammate for now, given the heightened border tension.
