Azerbaijani Side Opens Fire at Tractor Driver, Says Machkalashen Community Head

The Azerbaijani side opened fire today, December 9, at a tractor driver in the Machkalashen community of Martuni region in Artsakh. This was reported to NEWS.am by the head of the Machkalashen community, Lernik Avanesyan.

He stated that the incident occurred while agricultural work was being carried out. “The tractor driver was unharmed. We have removed the tractor from that location after the shots were fired,” he said.

Lernik Avanesyan mentioned that the opponent fired 5 times with large caliber weapons and several times with a machine gun. “The firing lasted about a minute. The Russian peacekeepers were working today and were not present at the time; the attackers took advantage of this. Now they have arrived, and everything is calm,” Avanesyan added.
