Azerbaijan Accumulates Large Amounts of Equipment Near Norabak: 24News

Azerbaijani armed forces have accumulated a large quantity of equipment towards the border village of Norabak in the Gegharkunik Province, where today the adversary has opened intensive fire towards our positions. This was stated by the head of the Geghamasar community in Gegharkunik Province, Hakob Avetyan, in an interview with 24News.

Avetyan mentioned in the conversation with the media that there have been no shots fired towards the settlement, and for about an hour, the situation has also been calm along the border.

Norabak is part of the Geghamasar community.

Auroranews contacted the Ministry of Defense, but they did not comment on the news and urged following only the official information released by the ministry.

It should be noted that according to a statement by the Ministry of Defense, since 16:25, the Azerbaijani side has opened intensive fire with firearms of various calibers towards the Armenian combat positions located on the border section of Gegharkunik Province. The Armenian side has responded with countermeasures. As a result of provocations by the adversary's units, two servicemen of the Armenian side received light gunshot wounds.

As of 18:00, the firefight has ceased.
