VIDEO. They displayed impudent behavior: Alexanyan on the brawl
This was yet another act of hooliganism by the aides of the "Hayastan" faction members. This was stated by Vahagn Alexanyan, a member of the National Assembly's My Step faction, in an interview with NEWS.am, referring to the fight that took place in the parliament the day before.
“Ask the ‘Hayastan’ faction what business individuals who are under accusations of hooliganism have in the National Assembly, and what those involved in the assassination attempt on Ararat Mirzoyan are doing there. They are the experts at attacking one person with 30. I remind you again of the attempted assassination of Ararat Mirzoyan,” he said.
When asked about the cause of the incident and how it started, the deputy responded: “I do not know the reason. I walked out into the corridor and saw those hooligans fighting, whether it was staff members or aides, I cannot say for certain. They were demonstrating impudent behavior, we tried to restore order, but they became even more brazen. It was definitely a brawl, and insults were coming from their mouths in the corridors of the National Assembly.
When we came out, there was already a fight between those aides and, if I am not mistaken, between the staff members or aides and experts. In other words, no deputies were involved in that fight. Aram Vardevanyan says they attacked with 40 people; that young man from the party says there were 40 people, but they didn’t beat anyone, I was the one who beat. It’s madness, schizophrenia. The brawl was between the aides of the "Hayastan" faction members and the staff members. The deputies tried to put an end to the fight, which did not succeed, because the impudence and hooliganism have deep roots among these individuals,” he noted.
Regarding reports that the members of the My Step faction also participated in the fight, including himself, Alexanyan responded, “I assure you that if I participate in a fight, the consequences would not be as soft as they were there.”
