Stabbing and Gunfire in Erebuni
On December 7, at 09:30, the Erebuni police department received a report from a hospital that a 21-year-old man had sought medical attention for "stab-wound injuries to the left lower extremities." According to the medical report, he was unable to provide a statement. This information was confirmed by the police.
Thanks to the measures taken by Erebuni's criminal investigation officers, it was established that on the same day, a group of individuals had an argument on Gajegortsner Street, during which an unknown person stabbed the 21-year-old.
Further operational investigation revealed that on December 6 at 22:00 and then again on December 7 at 08:30, a group of individuals had engaged in a fight on Davit Bek Street, exchanging insults and striking each other with hands, feet, and clubs, causing bodily harm.
It was also found that during the argument, a 24-year-old man fired several random shots from a "Walter" type gas-powered pistol.
Police in Erebuni managed to identify the individual who stabbed the victim. The 24-year-old was found and taken to the Erebuni police department, where he confessed and presented the weapon used in the crime, the gas-powered pistol, along with two clubs.
Examinations have been assigned, and a preliminary investigation is ongoing.
