The Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Artsakh reports: "As previously reported, on November 26 of this year, due to getting lost, the resident of the Ashan community in the Martuni region, Mihran Musayelyan, was under the control of Azerbaijan and returned to the Armenian side through the mediation of Russian peacekeepers.

On November 27, 2021, a forensic examination was commissioned to determine the mechanism, location of the injuries, and the degree of harm caused to the health of M. Musayelyan's body. According to the conclusion, more than 40 injuries were recorded on M. Musayelyan's body in the form of abrasions and hematomas, as well as a closed blunt injury to the chest, resulting in a broken sternum, which was accompanied by damage to the thoracic organs, leading to left-sided subcutaneous emphysema and pneumomediastinum. These injuries have caused severe harm to health, posing a life-threatening risk.

Based on the gathered data, a criminal case has been initiated in the National Security Service of the Republic of Artsakh under Article 111, Part 2, Points 5 and 11 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Artsakh (intentionally causing serious bodily harm by a group of persons and motivated by national hatred), and an investigation is underway."
