“Moderate Your Words”: Dispute Between a Missing Person’s Relative and Hovik Aghazaryan
During a protest today, December 8, outside the National Assembly, a relative of a missing person, Arsen Ghukasyan, addressed Hovik Aghazaryan, a member of the parliamentary faction of the ruling Civil Contract Party, saying, "Mr. Aghazaryan, sometimes you should at least say hello, or are we not worthy of that? I have so many questions to ask you!"
Aghazaryan, who was entering the building, turned back and replied, "I said hello; you were busy. You look so terrifying that should I be scared? If you have a question, ask it, and you will get an answer."
Ghukasyan responded, "What answer do you have for us? You are acting like servants for the enemy!"
“Moderate your words,” the MP retorted, to which Ghukasyan replied, “I’m moderating them; what I’m saying is what I feel.”
It should be noted that relatives of missing and captured servicemen, who had held a protest near the government building the day before, also blocked the section of Tigran Mets Avenue leading to Republic Square and adjacent to the government building. They have been gathering near the National Assembly since this morning, continuing their protest.
