First Image of the Omicron Variant

The University of Hong Kong has published the first image of the coronavirus Omicron variant, obtained using an electron microscope. Scientists were able to capture the electron micrograph from the Vero E6 cells of a monkey infected with the Omicron variant of the virus.

It is noteworthy that earlier scientists from the same university managed to isolate Omicron from clinical samples, which will allow for the development of a vaccine against it.
