VIDEO: "She said, 'I won't throw it on the ground. She was around 60.'" - Sarkisyan
Vigen Sarkisyan, the author of the Facebook initiative "Put out your cigarette, don't litter," has released a video stating: "Are you still throwing your cigarette out of the car onto the road? Haven't you made an ashtray yet? Don't you want to make one? You walk for about 100 meters while smoking, and when you finish, you just throw it on the ground or under a tree, and you can’t hold on for another 30 meters to reach a trash bin? This means you have 0 discipline, 0 willpower, and 0 sense of ownership over the land beneath your feet. You will not live well, you should not live well; it’s unfair for you to live well."
In the video, he recounts witnessing a shop employee, a woman around 60 years old, smoke and dispose of her cigarette butt in a tree hole. "Well, I wasn’t going to throw it on the ground, was I?" the woman justified herself.
