Video: Look in the Mirror Before Deceiving Me - Tense Debate Between Arsen Torosyan and Taguhi Tovmasyan

Today, December 7, during the session in the National Assembly, Taguhi Tovmasyan, a deputy from the "Honorary Duty" faction, announced that she presented a draft amendment to the law on "Military Service and the Status of Service Members." According to this draft, the health assessments, examinations, and treatments for military personnel will be conducted as a priority and free of charge, guaranteed by state medical assistance.

She stated that they visited several military hospitals and found that priority medical care is not provided for military personnel: "It turns out that an officer, after being at the front line for 14 days, should have 14 days to address his health issues, and he may potentially wait for up to a month at various civilian hospitals. This initiative does not impose any burden on the budget. We are in a state of war, and we owe it to ourselves to recognize every day that we owe our service members and we are prepared to repay that debt. However, the government has issued a negative conclusion, and the National Assembly committee also provided a negative conclusion. The justification was that others could be in line and that discriminatory treatment would be displayed. This is the worst formulation. I know that soon a colonel's son, a medical service officer, will approach the podium and say, 'Are you saying that you care more about the service members than we do?' I want to state—yes, because the facts speak for themselves," she said.
