Stillbirths Increase in Armenia

The number of births in Armenia has increased. According to the National Statistical Committee of Armenia, the number of births from January to October in 2019 was 29,910. In the same period of 2020, it rose to 30,147, and in this year's ten months, it reached 30,282. This indicates an increase of 135 births.

Additionally, the number of stillbirths has also increased, rising from 378 to 422 over the past year. It is notable that the number of deaths among infants aged 0-1 during the first ten months of this year has been 199, which is a decrease compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, the total number of deaths among children aged 0-4 stands at 225.
