HD Member Calls Police 'Nikol's Slaves'; Arrested

A group of people has gathered in front of the National Assembly (NA) demanding a meeting with the deputies who allegedly 'beat people in the chambers.' Moments ago, police detained HD member and Armenian-Canadian businessman Hrach Jabrajian, who referred to the officers as 'Nikol's slaves.'

As reported, today, December 7, assistant to 'Armenia' faction deputy Ishkhan Saghatelyan told reporters that while passing through the corridor, he heard voices and upon approaching, witnessed ruling faction deputies beating three assistants of opposition lawmakers in Vice President Ruben Rubinyan's office. He specifically recognized Vahagn Aleksanyan, Hrachya Hakobyan among the assailants and also saw Sisak Gabrielyan. He claims that security staff were present but did not intervene in any way.

He stated that specifically, assistants to Armenuhy Kureghyan, Tadevos Avetisyan, and Ishkhan Saghatelyan, including Geryasim Vardanyan, were beaten.
