Gunfire Targeted a House: Criminal Case Initiated

A criminal case has been initiated in the investigative department of the Territorial Investigation Office of the Artsakh Republic, specifically in the Askeran region. This case concerns an incident that occurred on November 13, 2021, between 02:00 and 04:00, where gunfire was aimed at a residential house belonging to an individual identified as M.A. in the village of Mkhitarashen, Askeran region. This shooting was allegedly carried out by unidentified servicemen of the Azerbaijani armed forces from a combat position located near the city of Shushi, driven by motives of national hatred and with the direct intent of depriving two or more individuals of life.

However, the incident did not reach completion due to the fact that M.A. and his family members were in another room of the house at the time, thereby preventing the crime from concluding under circumstances beyond their control. The case has been initiated under Article 33-103, Part 2, Points 1 and 14 of the Criminal Code of the Artsakh Republic concerning attempts to commit a crime and endanger individual life.
