Two Cases of Omicron Variant Infection Registered in Russia
Two cases of infection with the Omicron variant of coronavirus have been registered in Russia. The new variant was detected in two citizens who arrived from South Africa, as reported by Interfax.
It is noted that coronavirus was diagnosed in a total of 10 citizens who traveled from South Africa to Russia, of which only two were infected with the Omicron variant.
All necessary measures are being implemented to protect the Russian population from the new variant. Citizens arriving in Russia from South Africa or other countries are tested immediately.
