Major Accident in Ijevan: One Injured

On December 6, at 13:32, the Tavush Regional Crisis Management Center received a call reporting that a truck with a trailer had overturned near the lake in Ijevan city.

Two firefighting units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue administration were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a collision occurred on the M-4 highway at the 4th kilometer of the Ijevan-Dilijan section, between a MAN truck (driver R. G., born in 1962) and a Mercedes vehicle (driver A. K., born in 1975). As a result of the accident, the Mercedes overturned, turning the road into a one-way traffic.

Before the rescuers arrived, the driver of the truck was pulled out with local force and was hospitalized at the Ijevan Medical Center, where doctors assessed his condition as satisfactory. Rescuers disconnected the vehicles' batteries and carried out road cleaning work. The truck was removed from the roadway with the help of special equipment, and the road was made passable again.
