Drugs Thrown into Sevan Penitentiary Area: Details Revealed
On December 5, 2021, around 01:00, a staff member of the Republic of Armenia's Ministry of Justice reported from the checkpoint of the Sevan penitentiary institution that a substance had been thrown over the wall between two watchtowers.
The Penitentiary Service of the Ministry informed that immediately after the alert, the institution’s staff conducted an inspection and discovered the thrown package, which contained 49.2 grams of a substance resembling marijuana, 0.9 grams of brown, powder-like substances, as well as a black, hard mass weighing 9.4 grams, and one tablet labeled “B8” that is indicative of a narcotic known as Subutex.
Materials are being prepared in connection with the incident, and a forensic chemical examination has been appointed.
