Azerbaijanis Stole Livestock of Captured Artsakh Resident Weeks Ago
It has just been reported that around 1:00 PM, the National Security Service of the Republic of Artsakh received a report about the disappearance of a resident from the town of Chartar, born in 1956, identified as S.S. As a result of measures undertaken following the alert, it was determined that this citizen of Artsakh had ended up in a territory under the control of the armed forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan due to getting lost, and was subsequently apprehended.
Today, Infoteka24 published that an Azerbaijani soldier had killed a peaceful resident of the Martuni region of Artsakh. In a conversation with ArmDaily, Artsakh National Assembly member Metakse Hakobyan stated that such incidents had become commonplace. “The NSS has already confirmed this; I know that negotiations are ongoing, and the mediation of Russian peacekeepers will be necessary again. I hope that the return will happen again, hopefully in a timely manner,” Hakobyan said.
Regarding the publication by Infoteka24, the MP believes that it is not accurate information. “I have tried by all means to verify this. No one confirmed it; they are even surprised when you try to check such information, and no one has any details. I think that if it were true, the news would spread very quickly. Perhaps it was initially about the person who got lost, and there was just confusion. In any case, I want to hope that the information about the killing is incorrect. Although Azerbaijani channels are also writing about such events,” the MP stated.
Vahan Badasyan, the representative for security and displaced persons issues for the Artsakh President, also stated in a conversation with us that the lost resident is the same person from Chartar, whose 32 cows and 13 calves were stolen by Azerbaijanis on October 3. “Today, he was keeping his livestock in a neutral zone, and then they were taken from there, but there is no evidence of any killing. The fate of the resident remains unknown,” Badasyan said.
