Ararat Mirzoyan and Minsk Group Co-Chairs Meet
On December 1, in Stockholm, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs Andrew Schoffer (USA), Igor Khovaev (Russia), and Bris Rokof (France). The meeting was also attended by the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Personal Representative, Andrzej Kasprzyk. This information was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the conversation, the importance of fully implementing the peace process for the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship and under its mandate was emphasized.
Ararat Mirzoyan deemed the continuous warlike rhetoric and aggressive actions of the Azerbaijani leadership unacceptable. In this context, the Foreign Minister highlighted the necessity of taking concrete steps towards reducing tensions in Nagorno-Karabakh and the region.
The minister also stressed the urgent need to address humanitarian issues, specifically the prompt return of prisoners of war and other detained individuals, the clarification of cases of enforced disappearances, the preservation of Armenian historical and cultural heritage in areas under Azerbaijani control, and the creation of opportunities for international organizations to operate in Nagorno-Karabakh.
The Armenian side reaffirmed its commitment to continue working towards a lasting and comprehensive solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship, based on the known principles and elements for both parties.
