Where Some Armenians Plan to Celebrate New Year

This year, a significant number of Armenians plan to spend their holidays abroad. Some of our compatriots prefer to go to destinations that are more affordable and warmer.

ArmLur.am contacted several tourism companies to find out where our compatriots specifically intend to celebrate New Year this year. For example, the news from the "Globus Tours" tourism company indicated that many Armenians plan to celebrate New Year in Egypt and Dubai.

It is worth noting that these countries do not impose restrictions, and there are no specific vaccination requirements. On the other hand, this year, Armenians are more inclined to travel to Egypt and Dubai, naturally to places where beach leisure is available. European countries are not a priority for our compatriots as there are issues related to Schengen visas, which can be labor-intensive and difficult to obtain. Additionally, there is a clear vaccination requirement for these countries.

Furthermore, during the winter months, our compatriots are not particularly interested in European countries, as they tend to seek warmer destinations. It should also be noted that a small percentage of our compatriots intends to spend the New Year holiday in the Maldives or Zanzibar.
