Driver of a passenger GAZelle hits a dog and then collides with a parked Mercedes Sprinter in Yerevan, resulting in injuries

Today, December 2, a major traffic accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 12:30 PM, on Tbilisi Avenue in front of the ‘Lidokhol’ company, a passenger GAZelle serving route number 258 collided with a Mercedes Sprinter.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, two individuals were taken to ‘Izmirlian’ medical center with varying degrees of bodily injuries. Bystanders were the first to provide assistance to the injured, followed by the quick response of the emergency services from Yerevan’s number 5 firefighting and rescue unit. The doctors provided first aid to the injured on-site before transporting them to the hospital.

Witnesses at the scene stated that the passenger GAZelle, which operates on the Yerevan-Abovyan route, tried to avoid a dog that appeared on the road but ended up hitting it, causing the driver to lose control and collide with the parked Mercedes Sprinter. The dog died on the spot as a result of the impact.
