Why Nikol Pashinyan Won Again: Sophia Hovsepyan

Member of the 'Liberation Movement' initiative group, Sophia Hovsepyan's post reads:

“You can refer to 80% of our people with the phrase: 'those who walked with Nikol and handed over Artsakh.' Recently, this can even apply to about 50% of the population. Hate each other, for you—20%—lived quite well, everything was in order, and you knew Nikol well...

Do you know what the problem is? Do you know why Nikol Pashinyan won once again? Because you lacked the strength to be honest and accept your own failings, you lacked the strength to apologize. Today, a part of society excuses you, and you excitedly continue to make mistakes and do not accept your share of blame.

Nikol did not come to power on his own; we all brought him to the premiership and you, the very people who chose Nikol, cemented it. You say, 'Did you know he was coming to hand over Artsakh?' Then why did you let him come and hand over Artsakh? Why did you light a red light on his way, either knowingly or unknowingly?

And now I am to blame… Of course, I am to blame, yes! And I have so much strength that I can publicly apologize many times just for my part in this. But you do not have the strength to apologize for your actions, your inactions, and your current idleness… and that is why I am once again to blame… Of course… I am to blame for, in 2010, ignoring my own problems, having done everything to spread goodness around me, I did not fear and fought, fought and became to blame.

Today I found out that I am the one who handed over Artsakh, I am the one who plundered the country, I am the one who justified the plunder for my own work, I am the one who left soldiers without boots, I am the one who was defeated in negotiations, I am the traitor, I am the one responsible for 'half-shooting' Iskanders, I am the one who ordered the soldiers to retreat, I am the reason for April's war, I am the one to blame for the deficit of body armor in the army… Yes! Everything is me… So who are you if I can bear all this… It’s absurd… a military of incompetents… I wish you were as many as I truly am… I hope one day you will live the peace I envision… I wish all of you a dignified peace, you infallible people… I also wish health to journalists acting on political orders; you are doing the same thing that you accused Nikol of… 'Sophia, didn't you know it was a commissioned piece?' No, I didn’t know, but today I have understood how despicable that act is; maybe the next Prime Minister will be you... Good night…”
