Photos: Effects of Strong Winds in Artik

On December 1, at 13:54 and 14:02, the Shirak Regional Crisis Management Center received reports that the roofs of a house on G. Lusavorich Street and the number 1 primary school on Tumanyan Street in the city of Artik were damaged due to the wind. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Rescuers who arrived at the scene clarified that approximately 80 square meters of the house's roof and about 500 square meters of the school's roof had been partially damaged.

The rescuers carried out containment operations at the scene. In another report from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, at 13:39 on December 1, the Aragatsotn Regional Crisis Management Center received a call that a house on 2nd Street in the village of Lernapar had collapsed due to the wind. A parked car in the yard was damaged, but there were no injuries.

A firefighting unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the roof of two houses on 2nd Street had been damaged by the wind (a total of 220 square meters), causing structural components to fall and damage a "VAZ-2121" vehicle parked next to one of the houses, the garage (40 square meters), and a "Hyundai Sonata" parked in the garage.

Two other houses on 2nd Street also sustained partial roof damage (approximately 45 square meters in total), along with the solar water heaters installed on these roofs. The rescuers carried out work to dismantle the damaged structural components on one of the roofs.
