Man Who Jumped from Astghik Medical Center Window Was to Be Discharged in Two Days

A suicide incident occurred in Yerevan on November 29. Around 20:50, the Malatia police received a report of a man's body found in the yard of the Astghik medical center.

The body of 50-year-old T.K. from Ararat Province was discovered in the yard of the medical center. He had jumped from one of the hospital's ninth-floor windows.

According to sources from Haykakan Zhamanak, the man had been undergoing inpatient treatment at Astghik Medical Center since November 22 due to a tumor. He had undergone surgery and was scheduled to be discharged in two days.

At the time of the incident, his wife was beside him, but the action happened so quickly that she could not prevent it. The man unexpectedly rose and jumped out of the window.

Later, the Armenian police informed us that a forensic examination had been appointed in relation to the incident, and circumstances are currently being investigated. A preliminary investigation is underway.
