Lawyer Mihran Poghosyan informs: "The judges issuing the detention are involved in the case. Shortly ago, based on the blatantly illegal ruling of judgeTigran Simonian, the legendary commander of the Sisakan detachment and participant in the three Artsakh wars Ashot Minasian was detained.

Ashot Minasian was waiting for his detention for about 1.5 hours without a ruling. This judge recently approved an investigator's request from November 15, 2020, asserting that the evidence for imposing detention is not significant, but rather, what is significant is the desire of the authorities.

The second phase of the #Sunik_Cutting operation is underway, facilitated by judge Tigran Simonian, and the results will be forthcoming.

Recall that just days after the ceasefire statement on November 9, 2020, the NSS reported that they had thwarted a group of individuals preparing a crime, including the assassination of a state official, through violence, to seize the powers of the Armenian government, and had uncovered instances of this group unlawfully acquiring and storing weapons, military supplies, and explosives for this purpose. Several individuals were arrested in this case, including leader of the "Homeland" party Arthur Vanetsyan, former MP and leader of the Republican Party faction Vahram Baghdasaryan, member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Ashot Avagyan, and commander of the Sisian volunteer detachment Ashot Minasian, who were later released.
