A Bomb from World War II Explodes Near Munich Train Station; Several Injured
A bomb explosion occurred at a construction site of the Deutsche Bahn railway near a train station in Munich, Germany, resulting in injuries to at least four people, one of whom is in serious condition, but their lives are not in danger. According to reports from Bild, Munich police stated that the "danger zone is cordoned off, and there is no threat beyond its borders." Law enforcement has announced that train services at the central station in Munich have been suspended.
According to Bild, the explosion was caused by the detonation of an aviation bomb leftover from World War II. Bavaria's Minister of the Interior Joachim Herrmann has confirmed that during drilling work, construction workers encountered a 250-kilogram explosive buried underground.
