Jora Sahakyan, a resident of the village of Togh in Hadrut, was a conscript soldier serving a 15-month term when the 44-day war began. His battalion fought for 33 days in unequal battles against the enemy.
On October 30, near Jartari, Sahakyan was posthumously awarded the "Battle Service" and "Courage" medals by the President of Artsakh, as reported by Mediahub.
