Salmonella Detected in Chicken and Beef Mince at Restaurant Owned by 'Yerevanyan Projects' - State Food Safety Service

On November 20, the State Food Safety Service (SFSS) of Armenia received a notification regarding the hospitalization of several citizens on November 18, with a preliminary diagnosis of 'intestinal infection.'

The SFSS reported that, following an epidemiological investigation, it was found that 13 citizens were hospitalized at the National Center for Infectious Diseases. It has also been revealed that all hospitalized individuals had dined at 'Burgery' restaurant owned by 'Father and Son Yerevanyan' LLC (address: Amiryan 3/37, 'Burgery Angus & More').

On November 20, officials from the regulatory body conducted control measures at the 'Burgery' public catering facility, sampled prepared foods and raw materials, and sent them for laboratory examination.

According to the test results, salmonella was detected in the sampled products 'Chicken Mince' and 'Beef Mince.' To ensure traceability, samples were also taken from the raw materials of these products, with laboratory testing still underway.

All employees at the 'Burgery' dining facility possessed sanitary books, showing that the frequency of medical checks had been maintained.
