Severe Reprimand Issued to Judge Nakshkaryan for Not Recusing Herself in the Case Involving Pashinyan’s Daughter
A severe reprimand has been issued to Judge Zaruhi Nakshkaryan for not recusing herself in the case involving Nikol Pashinyan’s daughter. According to a report from a correspondent of «Factinfo», the Supreme Judicial Council, led by Gagik Jhangiryan, accepted the proposal from the Ministry of Justice of Armenia to hold Judge Zaruhi Nakshkaryan discipline accountable.
Judge Chichoyan voted against subjecting her to disciplinary accountability, while Makyan and Mkhtaryan expressed special opinions.
It is worth noting that disciplinary proceedings were initiated against Judge Zaruhi Nakshkaryan due to her failure to recuse herself in the case of Shushan Pashinyan, daughter of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, against Narek Samsonyan. The Ministry of Justice initiated the proceedings based on a submission from the Pashinyan family’s lawyer, Gevorg Gyozalyan.
