Erdogan Reveals What Aliyev Shared About Trilateral Meeting
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced that he held bilateral meetings with leaders of several countries during the ECO summit in Ashgabat, where he had the opportunity to discuss agenda issues candidly. He also referred to the trilateral meeting between the Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan, Russia, and Armenia, which took place on November 26 in Sochi.
“On Friday, my brother, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, met in Russia with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan with Russia's mediation. During our conversation, Ilham Aliyev said that the meeting in Sochi was productive. The construction of the railway and highway along the Araks River is currently being addressed. Meanwhile, the issue of constructing a road to Igdir is also under discussion. The road connecting Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan, and Armenia to Igdir will be a very successful project. We have already raised this topic while discussing the ‘3+3’ platform involving Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, and Iran,” the Turkish leader stated.
