VIDEO: The Road from Zovuni Village to Korean Gorge is Closed in Both Directions

On November 28, at 03:25, the Kotayk Regional Crisis Management Center received a report of a rockfall on the road from Zovuni village towards Korean Gorge. The road has become one-way traffic only.

Emergency services dispatched a firefighting unit from the Emergency Situations Ministry’s rescue department in Yerevan, a rescue group from the Special Rescue Operations Center, and operational teams from the Department of Population Protection and Disaster Risk Reduction and the National Crisis Management Center to the scene.

It was discovered that a rockfall of approximately 6 cubic meters occurred from a nearby hill along the Korean Gorge road, resulting in the road being limited to one-way traffic. There is a risk of further rockfalls.

Relevant work is being carried out on-site, and the road has now been closed in both directions.
