Flooding and Sandstorm in Egypt
A sandstorm, torrential rains, and storms have hit the Mediterranean coast of Egypt. As a result of the natural disaster, schools have been closed in ten provinces of the country, as reported by Ahram Online.
It has been reported that flooding has begun due to the heavy rains accompanying the storm, leading to cars and grocery stores being submerged.
In Alexandria and several other cities, multiple streets have flooded, complicating traffic conditions.
Additionally, a sandstorm has been observed in Fayoum, a city located in an oasis 90 km southwest of Cairo, which has hindered visibility.
Cairo has also been affected by the rain front, but municipal services have managed to cope with the rainfall in most neighborhoods.
However, authorities in Cairo and Giza have canceled school activities.
